I have actually had the crud since Thursday. And in ordinary circumstances, I would be extremely FRUSTRATED because I hate being sick and not being able to be up and doing something. But as a result of being unable to do the things I would normally do, I had a chance to read your book today. It is amazing. It is so powerful and so good on so many levels. Thank you for being you and for being brave enough to tackle everything you have faced with such courage and grace and humor. You will make us all better by your willingness to share your experience and insight.

I want to thank you for being so willing to talk about your experience with cancer and treatment. I did not know about your medical history ā€“ but I do know that individuals like you telling their story helps enormously to destigmatize the ā€œCā€ word. I am so very happy that you were able to write about your experiences so eloquently and are reaching so many.

I started reading your book and could not lay it down. It is truly one of the most encouraging and uplifting books I have ever read. Sometimes it is hard to understand the difficult paths God allows in our lives.

This was a wonderful reminder of how great is His love and care for each of us minute by minute. I’m so thankful for you and your willingness to write this book.

You are in for a treat in reading Michelle’s story. Her journey is not one of her choosing, I am sure. But the way she navigates through it is with faith, courage, humor, and inspiration is well-worth the reading. You will identify with her struggles, her pain, her honesty, her openness, her family dynamic, the desires of her heart, her faithfulness.

Whatever your situation, whether it be illness, decisions to be made, the death of a loved one, juggling work responsibilities with family responsibilities…whatever life brings, you will find peace and hope in her words. I would rank her writing as a “must read.” It blessed me as I am sure it will you. I give it five stars!

I was deeply touched by your book and your honesty. Life is not always easy, but you offer encouragement and hope through Christ, that He is in control and can even use something as terrible as cancer for our good.

Michelle’s book is so touching. The journal entries followed by the hindsight commentary were such an effective look into what Michelle was realling going through. What an inspiration and a witness to her trust (like Job) in God. To top it all, to know that one on my favorite hymns “It is Well with my Soul” speaks to her as well. What an honor to be in a speck of the same mindset as one who has been, and is, on a journey with our Maker. She definitely touches others.

I was able to read “My Anchor Holds” while off from work for snow days. What a blessing to me! As I read of Michelle’s amazing strength, courage, & faith during the most difficult times in her life, I realized God really can give us PEACE and HOPE beyond our understanding if we trust in Him. Through this book you will also be reminded of the POWER of prayer & the importance of listening to His small still voice. This book is sure to be a blessing all who read it, regardless of what difficulty in life you may be facing. Thank you Michelle for being God’s faithful servant & writing this uplifting book of HOPE!!

It is full of inspiration and hope and Michelle’s faith and testimony are such a joy to read about. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is or has been touched by cancer. I found much strength and hope as I face my own personal journey.
